You’ve known HYFN as a clothing brand but our mission statement is clear on the fact that we are also a storytelling platform. We will use photography and video content to amplify stories from within our culture and highlight people doing incredible things. Extra Spicy is a perfect representation of that. 

This series was created by Kolkata Chai and PopShift and they asked HYFN to direct and shoot all the visuals. We took Kolkata Chai, located in New York City's East Village, and turned it into a performance stage dripped in fuchsia lighting.

"EXTRA SPICY" is a music discovery series focused on celebrating the culture and genius of the Immigrant Diaspora.

In Season 1, we showcase six (6) artists with roots around the world to highlight their stories and styles. Robin Dey, Haile Supreme, Allan Kingdom, Rhea Raj, Rianjali and Rolex Rasathy.

From the Carnatic sounds of Tamil American singer/songwriter Rolex Rasathy, to the Ethiopian rhythms of Haile Supreme, Extra Spicy bridges the gap between content and culture in a genuine way.

One of our favorite things to do is collaborate with our friends and when Raghu and @Ani came to us with their vision, we were all in.
